2006 Police Survey

SURVEY RESULTS

This link takes you to the About UA/Community Surveys section of this Web site, where all community survey results are housed.

In early 2006, the Police Division undertook a small survey with regard to the safety services it currently provides the community. This process began during the month of March, with a report back to City Council and the community in early May.

The week of March 13, an invitation to participate, along with a paper and pencil survey was mailed to 400 randomly selected households in the community. Residents could also self-select into the survey by printing off a version from the City’s Web site (self-selected responses were used as supporting data, were not included in any detailed statistical analysis).

The City’s Police Division takes great pride in the services it provides the community, and the community’s satisfaction with safety services ranked among the top City services in the 2003 Community Survey.

The primary purposes of the Police Division survey were to better determine resident awareness and satisfaction with a number of services provided, to identify any issues that may require additional attention and to help the division best prioritize its level of services within existing resources. The data will be compared to a 2003 Police Survey to monitor the division’s progress, and will have ties to the broader 2006 Community Survey scheduled to occur later in the year.

If you have any questions about the Police Survey, please contact the Community Relations Officer at 614-583-5195.
