Public RelationsSpeakers Bureau. The Fire Division public information officer (PIO)coordinates requests for speakers at meetings and public events. Topics can be tailored to meet the needs of the organization, ranging from basic public speaking to prop-filled, multi-media presentations. Two-week advance notice is required. Fire Station Tours. The public is invited to visit any of the city's fire stations. Tours are available for formal groups (scouts, school classes, etc) as well as individuals and families. Drop-ins are welcome but, due to the unpredictability of emergency runs, visitors may find an empty station. Groups especially are encouraged to call ahead.
