Leaf Collection
The City is providing leaf collection services to residents free-of-charge through Friday, December 7, weather permitting. Please have leaves raked to the curb no later than 7 a.m. Monday, December 3 to be included in the final week’s collection.
Residents are asked to follow these guidelines when taking advantage of this program:
· Do not put leaves out for collection until one week prior to the start of the program.
· Place loose-raked leaves close to the edge of the street.
· Leaf piles should not exceed four feet in width and be no further than two feet behind the
curb.
· Do not place any rocks, sticks or other objects in leaf piles.
· Keep leaf piles away from sign posts, light poles, trees and mailboxes.
· Do not allow leaf piles to block storm sewers as this can increase the chance of flooding in
the event of heavy rain.
When the City’s leaf collection is not in effect, residents may places leaves in approved biodegradable bags or refuse cans as part of the City’s yard waste collection or may take advantage of free drop-off at SWACO’s Bill Holbrook Regional Composting Facility, at
4100 Roberts Road.
