A Taste of Summer in Province
The South of France, with its sunny Mediterranean landscape, inspired many famous Van Gogh paintings. Rows of purple lavender and yellow sunflowers divide the fields. Olive groves bake in the hot sun, eventually yielding their ripe green and black fruit. The infamous seasoning, Herbes, de Provence, includes the local harvests of thyme, rosemary, tarragon, bay leaf, basil, garlic and oregano. Join Josie Gonot as we discuss the geography and history of this sunny, southern region while tasting samples from this area. You are in for a delightful afternoon! Pre-registration is required in Bldg 3.
