The City of Upper Arlington invites residents to the grand opening of the new Reed Road Water Park aquatics facility, scheduled for Saturday, June 4. The celebration begins with an opening ceremony at 11 a.m., to be immediately followed by free admission to the facility until 8 p.m., with various games and giveaways planned throughout the day.
The City’s Parks & Recreation Department will have other activities scheduled in Reed Road Park, in the event the Water Park reaches bather capacity at any point during the day. If capacity is reached, bathers may also be asked to limit their visit that day to allow all patrons a chance to experience the facility.
On Sunday, June 5 the Reed Road Water Park, located at 2000 Hastings Lane, will be open to summer pool pass holders only for the hours of Noon–8 p.m. The facility officially opens for the season beginning Thursday, June 9.
The Reed Road Water Park replaces the former Hastings Pool, and is part of the City’s comprehensive efforts to bring the community’s three outdoor aquatics facilities up to modern-day standards.
It features lap lanes, a diving well, leisure area, current channel and vortex, a separate wading pool, various play features including a slide tower, heated water, changing facilities and lockers, extensive landscaping and more.
