Taught by a qualified instructor or divemaster, this introductory course consists of a short academic session paired with hands-on pool time during which the student is introduced to scuba skills, including practicing underwater breathing using scuba apparatus. Students must pre-register one week prior to the date of their chosen section to allow time to receive and complete the required medical/liability form. Students need to bring a swimsuit, towel and their completed medical/liability form (with physician statement if needed). Arrive 30 minutes early to allow for equipment fitting.
