*Laughter Yoga Workshop
with Meg Scott
Have you heard it said, “Laughter is the best medicine”? Well, in reality, it is no joke. Laughter is not only fun, easy and contagious but it promotes good health, relaxation and joy. In fact, the simple act of laughing can boost your immune system, lower blood pressure and increase circulation. It reduces anxiety and lifts mild depression. Laughing expands lung capacity and increases oxygen to the blood cells and aids in detoxification of the body. It exercises the abdomen, diaphragm and is energizing. Laughter Yoga is a combination of laughing exercises, yoga breath work and playful group activities. Join Meg Scott, certified Laughter Yoga instructor, to experience the benefits of laughing, through the use of lecture, demonstration, video and group participation. Bring more peace and joy into your life and generate an abundance of positive energy. No yoga experience is necessary. Wear loose fitting, comfortable clothes.

Mindfulness Meditation
with Daron Larson
Have you contemplated learning about and practicing meditation but were afraid it would be too difficult or foreign for you? This user-friendly, yet high impact approach to meditation, teaches you to be attentive to ordinary experiences and affects your daily life immediately in a positive way. Similar to the way working out at a gym improves physical strength and flexibility, mindfulness meditation is a skill that can be easily developed to improve focus, concentration and relaxation. This class introduces several strategies for turning mundane activities, such as standing in line at the supermarket or waiting at red lights, into opportunities to strengthen your ability to concentrate and decrease the discomfort of boredom and impatience. Discover how simple things you do countless times – walking through doorways, waiting for a web page to load – can remind you to more consciously experience the natural flow of your life. No attempt is made to impose a particular experience or belief system. No prior meditation experience is expected.
