Prenatal Yoga
with Jennifer Baryluk, CYT
This weekly class provides a supportive environment for bonding with your child, relieving muscle tension, strengthening muscles, deepening relaxation skills and improving breathing techniques, while keeping you in close touch with your changing body. Helpful remedies for common pregnancy-related ailments are also discussed. This specifically- targeted gentle exercise, taught by an experienced and certified prenatal instructor, can help make your pregnancy an easier one and can even ease the birthing process. Take some special time for yourself and your baby.

Yoga Flow

Yoga is a philosophy and discipline applied to the development of mind, body and spirit. There are many disciplines of yoga emphasizing different aspects or combination of these elements. Through practices of holding a variety of body positions, and the centering of the mind and breath in a meditative way, the practitioner increases body awareness, posture, flexibility of body and mind and calmness of spirit. Nia: Movement with Purpose

Nia presents a new philosophy of exercise: an exhilarating fusion of expressive movement for total body conditioning, paired with a cardiovascular workout. The eclectic music of Nia creates a perfect atmosphere for joyful movement and self-expression. Every Nia class uses techniques and concepts from three movement forms: the expressiveness of the Dance Arts (Jazz, Modern and Duncan), the power and explosiveness of the Martial Arts (Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do and Aikido) and the functional movement applications of three healing arts (Yoga, the Alexander Technique, and Feldenkrais). The blend of these disciplines, supported by unique musical styles and sounds, makes Nia Technique a holistic fitness approach. Dress to move and bring a water bottle.

Zumba

As long as you can walk, you can benefit from this class as it is no impact and easy on the joints. You are encouraged to work out at your own level of intensity. The class consists of an easy mix of traditional aerobics, jazz, boxing and Pilates moves. A short segment using hand-held weights, tubing and Dyna-bands is offered to increase strength, bone density and raise your metabolic rate to burn calories more effectively.
