Chip Flory joined ASIST Translation Services, Inc. in Human Resources in 2005. He has years of experience in teaching English as a second language (ESL) and two years of experience teaching linguistics courses at the undergraduate level. In 2004, he became a professional Spanish interpreter and has over 1500 hours actively interpreting. He has more recently become a professional interpreter trainer and has presented over 250 hours of group training. Chip has experience in translation and translation support, including editing, proofing, quality control, and has taught adult-education Spanish courses. He graduated from the Ohio University with a Bachelor’s in Spanish and in Linguistics with an emphasis on teaching English as a foreign or second language and a Master’s in Applied Linguistics, specializing in pedagogy and curriculum in the teaching of English as a second or foreign language.
