Del started cooking when he was eight years old and by the age of 13 he was cooking dinners for his family. In 1989, after several years in retail, and a brief stint at The Ohio State University School of Business, Del went to work for one of Columbus’ premier vegetarian restaurants, King Avenue Coffeehouse, where he honed his craft as a baker and cook. Eight years later Del opened his own vegan bakery, Del’s Bread. In 2001, Del left the bakery business to start a vegan meal delivery service and in 2002, he started teaching cooking classes at Benevolence Café. Last year he joined Wellness Forum Foods where he continues to deliver vegan meals and to teach cooking classes at local venues such as Whole Foods, Wild Oats and at The Wellness Forum.
