Casey is fortunate that his profession is in the field of his avocation. He had been active in the Miami Valley Audubon Chapter for seven years, serving on the board of directors for two years, chairing the conservation committee, served on the education committee and was a field trip coordinator. He earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Zoology at Miami University and did graduate coursework there as well. He works for the National Audubon Society, Audubon Ohio as an Education Specialist, providing outreach, education and training opportunities for adults on a variety of topics including the statewide home-focused conservation initiative the Audubon at Home and bird conservation in Important Bird Areas. His areas of expertise include birds, general natural history/ecology topics, population/evolutionary genetics, and to some extent reptiles and amphibians.
