Seven years ago Joyce left teaching for Columbus Public Schools after 23 years to buy The Yarn Shop in order to make her hobby her business. Shortly after she bought the business she moved the shop from Graceland Shopping Center to Kenny Center. In April of this 2005, she opened a second shop in Pickerington and has recently expanded the Kenny Center location. Joyce and her staff offer classes in knitting, crocheting, tatting, and needlepoint.
