The City of Upper Arlington and Upper Arlington Area Chamber of Commerce wish to encourage residents to think of Upper Arlington retail and service companies first whenever considering your shopping options. As such, the two entities have developed an ongoing community awareness campaign entitled “Live in UA? Shop in UA!”Buying in Upper Arlington shows your support for local retailers and keeps them in our community. In turn, their continued presence here enriches everyone’s lives with convenient shopping options. In addition, maintaining a healthy retail and business community reaps rewards through income tax generation. These revenues make up a significant portion of the City’s revenue stream, funding basic City services such as fire and police safety services, refuse and recycling collection, snow removal, and street maintenance. As part of this effort, seasonal promotions are implemented over the course of the year, including advertising, posters and fliers. Upper Arlington retailers may use the “Live in UA? Shop in UA!” insignia in any promotional activities they wish to undertake. Remember that your shopping dollars make a significant difference if they are spent in our community.
