Special ProjectsNews of current issues or special projects are included in this section of the Web site.New Reed Road Fire Station - The Reed Road Fire Station and surrounding park are scheduled for a complete upgrade to better serve the community. Henderson Road Corridor Study - On January 31, 2008 a public workshop was held to discuss the Henderson Road Corridor Study concepts and receive public input as to what improvements the community would like to see. Four concepts were presented. Historic Preservation Legislation - Upper Arlington City Council has formed the Historic Preservation Task Force to consider and make recommendations to City Council regarding appropriate historic preservation legislation for the historic district. Kingsdale Preliminary Development Plan - A preliminary development plan for the Kingsdale Shopping Center has been filed with the City. Check here for up-to-date information on the plan and process underway. Volunteer UA – A partnership of five Upper Arlington community organizations is working to promote and cultivate the many volunteer needs and opportunities that support and enrich our day-to-day lives. The first Volunteer UA community event occurred Wednesday, September 19, 2007. Check back for details of the Volunteer UA program as it works to become a year-round effort. Solid Waste Services - The City is transitioning to privatized Solid Waste Services, effective April 2008. This section of information is now housed under the Resident Services section. Live in UA?
