Board of Zoning & Planning Meeting

The Board of Zoning and Planning of Upper Arlington, Ohio welcomes all comments from the audience related to items on this agenda. Groups of residents who are interested in the same agenda items are encouraged to select a spokesperson for the purpose of addressing the Board. If you wish to participate in the open discussion of a particular item, please stand, be verbally recognized by the Chairman, state your name and address for the purpose of our records, be sworn in, and make your comments. Upon request to the City Clerk's office, special accommodations (i.e. interpreting services, audio recording, etc.) for persons with disabilities will be arranged for any City meeting open to the public. Requests for special accommodations should be submitted at least 72 hours in advance. Please call the City Clerk's office at 583-5032 for additional information.

I. Minutes

Review and approval of the April 21, 2008 BZAP and May 5, 2008 Work Session minutes and other reports and minutes. Approved as submitted.

II. Consent Agenda

Request for permission to extend by one year the implementation period for Variance Application No. 15-07, approved May 21, 2007. Approved.

Michael & Pamela Kerstetter 2017 Zollinger Rd
Request of Architect Thomas Pendery, on behalf of property owners, to permit the construction of a two-story addition that will encroach 0.7' into the minimum 8' required west side yard setback. Removed from consent agenda. Approved request with condition.

James & Linda C. Martin 4385 Woodbridge Rd
Request to permit the construction of a third garage bay that will encroach 3'-3" into the minimum 33.5' required rear yard setback; and which will project into the 1.7 rear profile coefficient established for this district. Approved.

Huntington National Bank 1531 W Lane Ave
Request of Mr. Chris Humphrey, AIA, on behalf of the bank, for approval of an amended graphics plan for this bank site. Referred from April 21, 2008 BZAP meeting. Approved.

Request of Mr. Joel Gaertner, on behalf of property owner, to permit the construction of a
room addition that will encroach three feet into the minimum ten-foot required north side yard setback, and which will result in a 12'-0" side yard sum, in lieu of the minimum 20' sum required. Postponed to June 2008 BZAP meeting.

Request for approval of a minor subdivision of this property that will require variances to
the Unified Development Ordinance. Approved with revised variances and five conditions.

Barrington Elementary School 1780 Barrington Rd
Request of Elizabeth Yoder, AIA, McDonald, Cassell & Bassett, Inc., on behalf of the UA
Board of Education, for major site plan approval to permit additions and renovations to Barrington Elementary School. Approved with three variances and six conditions.

Greensview Elementary School 4301 Greensview Dr

Board of Education, for major site plan approval to permit additions and renovations to Greensview Elementary School. Approved with three variances and five conditions.

Request of Mr. Rob Howard, RED Architecture, on behalf of property owner, for final development plan approval to permit major renovations to this restaurant building and site. Postponed to June 2008 Work Session and BZAP meetings.
