What is GIS?
GIS stands for Geographic Information System.
UA GIS is a web-based interactive mapping tool that places various data onto an Upper Arlington base map in layers. Layers include color aerial photos, city utilities, contour elevations, zoning classifications, historic district designations, and more. Parcel-specific information includes archival reports and links to documents and codes.
You may have to download a plugin to use this system. Please click on the "System Requirements" link at the left.
To begin, search (query) for a specific property by its address, owner's name, tax parcel identification number, or closest intersection. Then "zoom" to the property. The list on the left of the page shows available "layers" of data that can be displayed on the map. Check the layer(s) you wish to see displayed. Call the Planning Division at 583-5076 if you have any questions.
*New* Layers include:
--Flood Plain data from FEMA
--Historic District boundary and designations
--Annexation ordinances
--Subdivision maps
