Economic Development
The City of Upper Arlington is seeking opportunities to work with prospective businesses and developers or existing businesses wishing to relocate or expand within the community.
To facilitate development and redevelopment in Upper Arlington, City Council adopted the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) on Monday, April 22, 2002. The UDO increases the efficiency of the City's building approval process thereby decreasing the time between plan concept and occupancy.
Our economic development director is ready to work closely with clients to identify business opportunities and development sites (click on link above to see available office properties), provide detailed information on demographics, zoning requirements and available services, as well as help guide businesses through the steps needed to establish a presence in Upper Arlington. A variety of opportunities and business incentives are available to help new and existing businesses grow and prosper.
With easy access to downtown Columbus and all the major highways linking Central Ohio communities and beyond, as well as close proximity to Port Columbus National Airport, just 10 miles away, businesses can enjoy the many benefits of the community’s central location. Add to that the fact that Upper Arlington is widely recognized as one of the premier residential communities in Central Ohio with an excellent school system and you have an appealing environment in which to both live and work.
