Fire DivisionThe City of Upper ArJob description for position of "firefighter" – extinguishes fires, provides rescue services, is a certified EMT-B or EMT-P, carries out home and building inspections, and maintains equipment in constant readiness to respond to emergency situations.Qualifications – applicants must be high school graduates and able to pass a Civil Service written examination, background investigation, physical capability test and drug screen. Age Restrictions – must have reached 18th birthday by day of appointment (may take exam if age 17 years or over).
