City Council – Upper Arlington City Council is comprised of seven citizens who are elected by residents to serve a maximum of two four-year terms. Council’s responsibilities include establishing local laws, setting policy, approving programs and generally overseeing the operations of the City. The Council hires the City Manager, City Attorney and Clerk of Council.

City Administration - The City of Upper Arlington consists of approximately 250 full-time employees with numerous part-time and seasonal positions. Under the guidance of the City Manager, Staff is responsible for the day-to-day operation of City services.

City Departments - The City of Upper Arlington Administration is comprised of 10 departments that perform various functions to ensure the provision of innovative, timely services to the City’s residents.
