The Upper Arlington Public Library (UAPL) system offers entertaining and educational programs for all ages. The mission of the UAPL is to stimulate interest in and promote lifelong learning. Furthermore, the library strives to enrich the lives of its patrons by offering a balanced, broad collection of printed and spoken word, visual images and music, designed to reflect the needs and interests of the UA community.
PC and Macintosh computers with free Internet access are available for patron use at each library branch.
The library’s Web site makes it convenient to access its catalog and your account. You can reserve materials, find a listing of current library programs, find homework help and parenting resources on the kids’ page and access reference databases.
The library offers a free Outreach Service to area residents who are homebound due to weather conditions, permanent disability, temporary injury or illness. Library representatives deliver to residents in their homes, care centers and senior residences. All circulating materials are available for delivery. Outreach services are also available to area child day care centers.
The Friends of the Upper Arlington Public Library is a nonprofit organization with membership open to anyone wishing to support the library. With over 500 active members, the Friends has become integral to the success and growth of the UAPL. The organization promotes the library system within the community, funds adult and children’s programming, and provides the library with needed equipment, services and funding for programming.
Created to ensure that a library system of excellence continues in the future, the Upper Arlington Public Library Foundation strives to further enhance the scope and quality of services through long-term financial stability.
From author visits to craft programs to book clubs, there’s something for everyone at the UA Library.
