Our economic development director is ready to work closely with clients to identify business opportunities and development sites, provide information on demographics, zoning requirements and available services, as well as help guide businesses through the steps needed to establish a presence in Upper Arlington. A variety of opportunities and business incentives are available to help eligible new and existing businesses grow and prosper. With easy access to downtown Columbus and all the major highways linking Central Ohio communities and beyond, as well as close proximity to Port Columbus International Airport, just 10 minutes away, businesses can enjoy the many benefits of the community’s central location. Add the fact that Upper Arlington is widely recognized as one of the premier residential communities in Central Ohio with an excellent school system, and you have an appealing environment in which to both live and work. Economic Development Insight Knowing that Upper Arlington residents want to be informed about economic development activity, the City has created Economic Development Insight. This publication provides an overview of the City’s financial picture, the history of economic development and the challenges and successes our community has experienced in this arena. It also ties the City’s economic development efforts to the Upper Arlington Master Plan and its goals for the community’s continued health. Reference copies of Economic Development Insight are available at the community’s libraries, the UA Area Chamber of Commerce and at the Municipal Services Center.
